Site Profiles

Site profiles are forms under the BC Environmental Management Act that request information about the past and present uses of a site, as well as basic land descriptions. A person is required to provide a site profile to the local government (Municipality or Regional District) when he or she applies for subdivision, zoning, or demolition, development or soil removal permits for land that has previously been or is currently used for certain types of industrial or commercial activities (for a complete list of activities go to our Links, under Site Profile).

Site profiles are used as an initial screening tool for identifying sites that might be contaminated.
